KRA Youth Joins National Guard

Recently, it was reported that KRA’s 4th Annual Community Care Day campaign will work in partnership with local USOs, and other military-related organizations, to benefit our men and women serving overseas, by accumulating and donating at least 300 items…per KRA project site…that are most requested by our troops.  As it sometimes happens, a very fitting and timely story has emerged from the KRA SCWorks Career Centers operation in the Waccamaw Region. KRA CTWorks Fundraising Update

Last month, it was reported that KRA staff from the North Central Region’s CTWorks Program had set a goal to raise $3,000 by December 14, 2012, for a very deserving cause, the Hartford Area United Way 2012 Fundraising Campaign.  To accomplish the goal, staff from the four offices devised several unique “fun-raising” activities, with a couple of events culminating in the naming of team and individual fundraising winners at the end of the campaign. KRA Launches 4th Annual Community Care Day

Knowlton R. Atterbeary, KRA President & CEO, has officially launched the 2012 Community Care Day campaign, a company-wide initiative created to celebrate the joy of giving and sharing good works with customers and neighbors in the communities the firm serves. The 2011 Community Care Day program, coordinated by Mr. Domonique Goode, a KRA Quality Assurance Team Leader, benefitted many deserving community organizations including five Ronald McDonald Houses, three group homes for neglected and troubled youth, a family homeless shelter, and a food pantry. KRA/CTWorks/HPL Open House

On October 3, 2012, Mary Crean, Hartford Public Library (HPL), and Sandra Rodriguez, Capital Workforce Partners (CWP), issued a joint press release announcing an Open House on October 11th, celebrating the success of the “CTWorks @ HPL” partnership that “Is working …to help Hartford residents find jobs.”  CWP, the North Central Connecticut Region’s Workforce Investment Board, and KRA’s client, and the HPL joined forces in July 2012 to open a satellite One-Stop Career Center in downtown Hartford.  The announcement stated that in 3 months of activity CTWorks @ HPL “has assisted over 1,000 individuals in their quests for jobs, training and career assistance.” The community

On October 15, 2012, Ernestine Chambers began working for the Work Participation, Placement, and Support Services Program as a KRA Career Agent.
