On October 3, 2012, a dozen staff members from the KRA/VIEW (Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare) Program in Norfolk attended an Appreciation Luncheon hosted by Community Personal Care (CPC) exclusively for KRA Corporation to demonstrate their appreciation for the long-time productive working relationship with the company. CPC, which was established in 1998 by W. Wayne Perry, Jr., is one of the largest Home Health Care agencies in the Norfolk area, and is widely recognized as a leading provider of quality home care designed to support independent living.
Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and accredited by the Joint Commission…the highest standard for healthcare institutions…CPC began collaborating with KRA in 2005, and the partnership has proved to be nothing short of incredible over the years. CPC has hired more than 350…almost an average of one-a-week… KRA/VIEW jobseeker-customers as Personal Care Assistants, 198 of whom were placed through Virginia’s highly successful Full Employment Program, a work component within VIEW that provides subsidized on-the-job training and subsequent employment for TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) recipients transitioning from public assistance to the workplace.
According to Alisha Bazemore, KRA Program Manager, “CPC is passionate and committed to improving the quality of home-based healthcare for the elderly and disabled in the Norfolk area. We are both pleased and proud to count them among our most valuable business-customers, and look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come.”
