KRA’s Seymour Presents Two Workshops at AlabamaWorks Conference

On September 8, 2021 at 10:30am PST, Joseph L. Seymour, KRA Managing Director, Operational Excellence, will facilitate a workshop on Trauma-Informed Care for Workforce DevelopmenProfessionals at the 2021 Meeting of the Minds in Monterey Conference.

On September 21, 9:00-9:45am EDT, Mr. Seymour will re-present this informative and engaging “signature” seminar at the AlabamaWorks 2021 Virtual Conference as a Featured Presenter.

This live Keynote Session will explore trauma-informed care as an approach, in various service-based fields, that recognizes the presence of trauma symptoms, and acknowledges the role that trauma may play in the lives of the program participants we all serve every day. Mr. Seymour believes, “This learning experience will transform your approach to workforce development.”

Between 10:45-11:45am EDT, Mr. Seymour will present a pre-recorded Breakout Session on EQ is the new IQ: Emotional Intelligence for Workforce Professionals based on recent research indicating that Emotional Intelligence—also referred to as Emotional Quotient or “EQ”—is far more influential in determining success than IQ.

Mr. Seymour states, “The good news is that anyone can improve their EQ, increasing opportunities for success in almost any endeavor. Interactively, we will discuss core concepts, and how mastery of EQ skills will have an impact on the work you do every day.  In addition, we will explore tangible strategies you will be able to implement in your interpersonal interactions, as well as ways to teach these life-changing skills to the participants in our programs.”
