KRA and MY Academy to Present at CWA’S Youth Summit 2024

On February 7, 2024, 1:15pm – 2:15pm PST, a KRA team will present The Possibility Project – A “No Walls” Approach to Youth Engagement and Development, reflective of the Summit’s theme, Expanding Horizons.

Terrance Bowens, KRA Program Manager, will lead a team that includes Karla Johnson, KRA Young Adult Career Coach, and Bill Dobson, Interim Director, Motivated Youth (MY) Academy,  KRA client-partner for the operation of a California public-charter school offering programs for families and students seeking individualized curriculum, personalized teacher support, and scheduling flexibility.

With KRA since 2010, Bowens—an accomplished workshop facilitator and trainer, including presentations for NAWDP and SETA conferences—provides this sneak-preview, “For young adults, workforce development is a large concept that may not mean much. We know it’s more than just finding a job. It’s actually about the future.

“The Possibility Project was born out of the idea that what is possible for young adults may always be there, we just need to light up the pathway to it.  Through a partnership with Motivated Youth Academy, we reach students before they graduate and give them a secure footing into the future. Utilizing the school’s “no walls” approach to education allows outside-the-box thinking where the real world now becomes to classroom.”

We urge you to register for the Summit now, so as not to miss this dynamic, informative, and thought-provoking KRA workshop!
