Customer Credits KRA for Career Longevity Success

In May 2015, after 6 jobless years, through  the KRA/PGWorks‘ Non-Custodial Parent Employment Program, ex-Security Officer Gerald Mackall was hired by USDA/APHIS as an Administrative Support Assistant, and was featured in a KRA  June 2015 article.  Since then, his career-path journey has been nothing short of meteoric. Last month, Gerald completed 2 months of a 6-month Basic LDP [Leadership Development Program], to be followed by a 9-month Intermediate LDP; this month, finished 4 of 10 Contracting Officer Certification Program courses, and once credentialed, will qualify for a GS-15 salary range of $128K to $160K; and next month, is re-registering at

KRA Customers’ Careers Back on Track

Arlene and Karen had much in common: single with children; separated from careers in which they had invested many years; and at an age, 47, they felt was an obstacle to re-entering the workforce in positions close to, if not the same as, those they had held. KRA Creates Virtual Job Fair (VJF)…

…with the DC Public Charter School Board, Rocketship Education , and the TANF Employment Program, operated by KRA for the DC Department of Human Services, to recruit and screen candidates to fill counseling, teaching,  and general-construction positions.  The VJF utilizes Twitter’s Blab.im live-streaming application. KRA advertised VJF availability through several venues, convened a successful “mock” VJF to test functionality, and scheduled the live event for February 9, 2016. Jacque Patterson, Rocketship Regional Director, stated that he is “excited about this partnership with KRA…”, and his plan for building five schools over the next few years promises a mutually productive, long-term business relationship
