KRA/CTWorks Raises Funds Again for Regional United Way

Over the past 5 years, some KRA Community Involvement News headlines have read, “CTWorks Launches Fundraiser for Hartford-area UW…CTWorks Closer to UW Goal…CTWorks UW Fundraising Campaign Exceeds Goal; and CTWorks Raises More than $2K for UW.”

So, no big surprise that the staff of the multi-site American Job Center/CTWorks Program, operated by KRA for Capital Workforce Partners, recently wrapped up another highly successful fundraiser to benefit the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut!

On “Dress Up Your Jeans” Fridays, between December 1, 2014 and February 27, 2015, KRA staff were encouraged to wear jeans—with dressed-up shirts and tops—and to donate $5 each day they participated.  The team surpassed its project goal, donating a total of $1,326!

KRA HR Partner Ashley Barnum, Hartford office, and KRA Unit Supervisor, Melissa Cordon, Manchester office, were key to organizing the project, with the full cooperation and support of KRA staff from the Enfield and New Britain offices.

Once again, AJC/CTWorks is proud to support the mission of the United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, whose stated community priorities are Education, Financial Security, Health, and Basic Needs.
