KRA Program Manager Elected to NAWDP Board of Directors

Kimberly Staley, who directs KRA’s CTWorks operation in Connecticut’s North Central Region, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP). She will be representing the State of Connecticut on the Board, and had this to say about how she perceives her role, “My vision for NAWDP is to be recognized as the leader in the advancement of significant and vital national workforce development policies and initiatives, while increasing and retaining membership; increasing the awareness, recognition and acceptance of the NAWDP credentials; and gaining continued recognition as a gateway and think-tank for workforce development”. Ms. Staley will attend her first Board meeting August 12-13, 2011, in Denver, Colorado, and will engage in New Board Members Orientation, Conference Committee site visits, and full-member Board meetings. Patrick Boxall, Vice President & COO extended KRA’s best wishes to Ms. Staley, with “Kimberly, congratulations on your election! This is a well-deserved indication of the contributions you make not only to KRA, in particular, but to the workforce development community, in general. We know that many short- and long-term benefits will accrue to NAWDP and our industry as a result of your participation and representation.”
