KRA 2013 Community Care Day Update

On July 8th, it was reported that Knowlton R. Atterbeary, KRA President & CEO, had officially launched the KRA Corporation 2013 Community Care Day Campaign (CCDC), a company-wide initiative created in 2009 to celebrate the joy of giving and sharing good works with customers and neighbors in the communities the firm serves. The 2012 CCDC program, coordinated by Tiffany Haynes, KRA/VIEW Norfolk Lead Instructor, benefitted hundreds of military personnel and their families across the country.  Not only did each project meet their goals and objectives, they surpassed them with flying colors! Each site’s project supported our military, both active and retired, in many unique ways.  Read about the 2012 CCDC at: https://www.kra.com/community-involvement/4th-annual-kra-community-care-day-supports-our-troops/

Continuing her role as the Corporate Coordinator for CDCC, Haynes reported recently on the 2013 initiative, Support Our Local Hospitals, which she says has “has taken off like wild fire!  Already, several programs have reported on their CCDC projects: KRA/Greater Hartford [CT] staff surprised and delighted local Veterans by planting more than 400 flowers, bushes, and shrubbery, donated by Home Depot, around the grounds of the Newington VA Hospital, and KRA/Lower Savannah [SC] organized a ‘Bingo Bash’ for the residents of Morningside Assisted Living in Orangeburg.  Coincidentally, KRA/Waccamaw [SC], which I will report on next week, also organized a Bingo recreational activity for the residents of three nursing homes, one in each of the counties served by the KRA program.”

Haynes continued, “Both KRA/Camden [NJ] and KRA/Norfolk [VA] created truly unique CCDC initiatives to support hospitalized patients, including stroke survivors, in their communities.”
