The KRA Team of the Job Skills Training Directly Related to Employment Program, funded by the Camden County Workforce Investment Board, surprised their customers who participate in the Pre-Employment & Digital Training Program with a pre-Thanksgiving Day feast on November 21, 2014. Baltimore KRA Community Care Campaign

As part of its Sixth Annual Community Care Campaign (CCC), in October—which is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month—KRA Corporation donated $2,500  to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence to support their mission.  Also, KRA programs raised another $5,000 that was donated, in cash and/or goods, to local advocate-agencies and shelters that provide direct support services to victims of domestic abuse. KRA/Baltimore, funded by the Department of Social Services, formed a partnership with the House of Ruth to create a permanent bond that supports their mission beyond the CCC. Greater Hartford KRA Community Care Campaign

In October—National Domestic Violence Awareness Month—as part of its Sixth Annual Community Care Campaign (CCC), KRA Corporation donated $2,500  to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and KRA programs nationwide raised another $,5000 that was donated, in cash and/or goods, to local advocate-agencies and shelters that provide direct support to victims of domestic abuse. At the Greater Hartford American Job Center/CTWorks, funded by Capital Workforce Partners, KRA staff contacted three shelters—Prudence Crandall Center, My Sister’s Place, and Interval House—to explore what was most needed by the residents. KRA Corporate Counsel Elected to Maryland State House of Delegates

Vanessa E. Atterbeary, KRA Corporate Counsel, emerged from Tuesday’s general election as a winner in the race for a seat in the Maryland State House of Delegates, District 13. Delegate-Elect Atterbeary and fellow Team 13 members Guy Guzzone, Shane Pendergrass, and Frank Turner all won solidly in a very competitive field garnering a combined  60% of the vote.  Ms.  Atterbeary ultimately prevailed with an impressive 21,792 votes on her own. Career Pathway Planning Pays Off for KRA Youth

In May 2014, George Reevey, 21, enrolled in KRA Corporation’s Out-of-School Youth (OSY) Program, funded by the Camden County Workforce Investment Board, to obtain a diploma and a job.  Determined to overcome an unproductive past, George was unwavering in his decision to make a better life for himself and to become a role model for his younger siblings. Guided by Nigel Charles, OSY Instructor, George developed  a Career Pathway Plan (CPP), one goal of which included preparing for the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), a national high school equivalency exam of proficiency in the three “R”s, Science, and Social Studies.
