KRA Monthly Spotlight!

All across the country—East, Midwest, and West, KRA-program offices are reopening to resume in-person services for its Career- and Business-Services customers.

Another re-emerging operation is underway in California, with our Spotlight! on Maxine Suka, Director of Workforce Operations, who oversees six San Diego County Career Centers, operated by KRA under the auspices of the San Diego Workforce Partnership.

Ms. Suka reports, “On August 4, 2021, I had a very rewarding experience—being featured on CBS 8—connecting with a much larger audience to share that the San Diego Workforce Partnership Career Centers Reopen for In-Person Job Help.

“I was pleased to be able to highlight:

  • how the Career Centers are positioned as ‘one-stop shops’ for San Diego jobseekers to search for and secure quality jobs;
  • that in the current job market, employers looking for workers are offering hiring incentives; and
  • hearing from jobseeker Salvador Torres about the impact that the South County Career Center has made in his job search and the importance of having access to computers and support.

“We are extremely pleased to have three of our Career Centers welcoming our customers back—through actual doors and not just virtual portals.  In collaboration with our client, the Workforce Partnership, we anticipate opening the other three Centers within the next few months.”
