KRA employees recently came together for a special Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) Live Learning Event, “Your Desk, Your Health: Chair Yoga & Ergonomics”!
Hosted by the EEC, this event featured a guided 15-minute chair yoga routine designed specifically for the workday, taught by Committee members, for KRA employees to use alongside key ergonomic principles to reinforce healthy habits and to make their own workspaces more comfortable.
Our EEC presenters included:
- Erica Williams, Career Coach Lead, Ohio
- Mary Teagle, Business Services Representative, Ohio
- O’Shea Johnson, Intake & Eligibility Specialist, California
- Ashley Bright, Community Engagement Specialist, California
- Kailyin Perry, Career Coach, California
Together, the presenters guided participants through stretches targeting common areas of tension caused by prolonged computer use, including the neck, shoulders, back, wrists, hips, and legs. The session concluded with instruction on box breathing, a mindfulness technique that can help reduce stress and promote focus throughout the workday.
Beyond the practical wellness tips, the event showcased the strength of KRA’s culture of engagement and collaboration. The EEC invested weeks in developing the program and creating resources that employees can continue using long after the session ended. Through initiatives like this, KRA continues to empower employees to care for their health and create positive workplace experiences that contribute to their personal well-being and to our organizational success.
Thank you to our attendees, and to our fantastic EEC chair yoga instructors!
