KRA Proud to Sponsor and Present at SETA 2025 Spring Conference

KRA is a long time SETA supporter through membership, sponsorship, and conference/workshop presentations, and we are pleased to sponsor the 2025 Spring Conference of the Southeastern Employment and Training Association March 16 – 19, 2025.

In addition, we are proud that key members of our Corporate Leadership Team—Zaskia Ruiz, EVP & COO; Derrick Colbert, Managing Director, Operational Excellence; and Ryan Rand, Engagement & Development Specialist—will be sharing their expertise to facilitate can’t-miss workshops!

On Monday, March 17, 2025, 1:45 PM-2:45 PM/ET, Ruiz and Ryan, who is also the Chairperson of the KRA Employee Engagement Committee, co-present Empowering Voices: Launching a Successful Employee Engagement Committee, about which the Agenda states,  “Has the ‘Great Detachment’ impacted your organization or your employer partners? You are not alone- 59% of employees are disengaged, according to Gallup, as part of what experts deemed the ‘Great Detachment’.

“Businesses are struggling with employee retention and engagement and, in response to these challenges, KRA Corporation founded its Employee Engagement Committee (EEC), born from a vision to foster an inclusive, engaging workplace for all. In this workshop, the founders of the EEC will share strategies for launching and sustaining the Committee, overcoming challenges, engaging employees across diverse teams…and how the EEC contributed to KRA achieving the silver level of the Cigna Healthy Workforce Designation™.”

The next day, March 18, 10:30 AM-11:30 AM/ET, Colbert—who previously served as Director of Operations, Office on Returning Citizens Affairs, Executive Office of the DC Mayor—will present Effectively Engaging Returning Citizens, on which he comments, “Each year, more than 600,000 justice-involved individuals return to their communities, facing significant barriers and challenges—stigma, limited employment opportunities, housing challenges, and even mental-health struggles—to successful reentry.

“Despite these and other hurdles, these citizens return with incredible potential for growth and transformation, capable of contributing meaningfully to society if they have our support and understanding. By providing opportunities and reducing barriers, we can help them rebuild their lives and create stronger, more inclusive communities.

“We’ll examine the challenges returning citizens face; the support, tools, and resources they need to succeed; and most importantly, how we as workforce-services professionals and stakeholders have a role to play in helping them make successful, lasting transitions.”

We urge you to register today for KRA’s dynamic and informative workshops, taking full advantage of the knowledge you will gain and capitalizing on the opportunity to share your own successes, and challenges, in these critical areas of both employee- and customer-engagement.
