KRA Prominent on NAWDP Website

Held annually, the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) 2013 Conference, Putting America to Work, was held May 19 – 22, in Minneapolis, MN.  According to the NAWDP post-conference webpage, “Over 90 breakout workshops, three plenary, two super sessions and two deep dive sessions were featured.”  KRA Corporation, the only Gold-Level Sponsor, was extremely active in Conference activities, with the largest representation from any one single organization: more than 25 corporate- and program-level executives, managers, and staff…from California to Connecticut. KRA Staff Volunteer for Adult Education Seminar

On Saturday June 8, 2013, KRA Business Services Representatives, Charles Botts, III and Myrna Fienman, KRA/CTWorks One-Stop Centers, North Central Connecticut Region, facilitated two seminars for a group of adult students in the town of Vernon, about 15 miles east of Hartford.  The Vernon Regional Adult Based Education (VRABE) Department hosted a Job-Search Skills Development Seminar, the first event of its kind in the Region, for any area residents willing to come in on a Saturday morning. KRA’s Seymour Creates 2nd NAWDP Plenary Video

In support of a workshop facilitated by Kimberly Staley, KRA Vice President and Director of Client Services, for the May 2012 National Association of Workforce Development Professionals Conference, Joseph L. Seymour, Trainer & Subject Matter Expert, KRA/CTWorks One Stop Centers in Hartford, created a Workforce Development Advocacy video. KRA Staff Receive Prestigious NAWDP Awards

Recently, the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) convened its annual conference in Minneapolis, MN. More than 25 KRA Corporation staff attended, representing HQ and multiple offices of program sites from California, Connecticut, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Virginia.  At the Awards Luncheon on May 20, two KRA staff took center stage to accept two of the four Advancing the Profession Awards bestowed by NAWDP to honor “individuals who have made significant contributions to the profession that have benefited customers of the workforce investment system.” In accepting the 2013 Professional Development Award, Beth McCabe, CWDP, thanked several colleagues from KRA and Capital Workforce Partners (CWP),
