Recently, KRA launched an extremely successful recruitment campaign in Los Angeles County, CA, demonstrating our superior advertising, vetting, and onboarding capabilities in the start-up of the Rancho Dominguez American Job Center of California (AJCC) program, creating meaningful career opportunities and strengthening workforce development in the area.
On October 3, we announced 14 openings for a range of positions, e.g. Program Director, Career Coach, Community Engagement Specialist, Receptionist, et al for staffing the Rancho Dominguez AJCC operation—positions that directly support services to empower jobseekers and engage employers in promoting economic mobility in the community.
The response was remarkable, with 474 applications—an average of 36 applications per position—received within a week, demonstrating an overwhelming interest that highlighted the alignment between KRA’s goals and the values of local professionals ready to make an impact in the Rancho Dominguez region.
Interviews began on October 7, with the KRA People & Culture Team, led by Kalandria Thompson, Manager, who commented, “Our evaluation process was quick, but thorough, in identifying candidates whose knowledge, skills, and abilities best qualified them for service-delivery roles and responsibilities at Rancho Dominguez—which was operational within 30 days of our initial recruitment efforts!”
KRA staff, who have assumed program-leadership positions, include Donna Eissoh, Business Services Manager; Tiffany Pina, Career Services Manager; and JaVette Pettaway, Program Director, who stated, “I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to empower Rancho Dominguez residents and their families to achieve their career-development goals, which at the same time supports our local employers in fulfilling their short- and long-range business-development objectives.”
