Nevada Governor Attends KRA Grand Opening for Second Time

On October 12, 2018, Stephen Sisolak, then Clark County Commissioner, officiated at the Grand Opening of the American Job Center of Nevada (AJCN), operated by KRA for Nevadaworks, the Governor’s WDB for Northern Nevada.  On January 7, 2019, Commissioner Sisolak took office as the 30th Governor of Nevada.

On October 20, 2022, he again played a key role in the Grand Opening of a KRA operation, i.e. a rebrand of the Reno-based AJCN as an EmployNV Business/Career HUB. (Link provides both print and video news coverage!)

Governor Sisolak shared his thoughts, regarding the critical role of HUB operations in the economic success of the Region, with more than 65 attendees, including representatives of many area businesses.

Representatives from the Offices of U.S. Senators Catherine Masto and Jacklyn Rosen  presented Terrance Bowens, Program Manager, commendations for KRA’s continued provision of critical Business and Career Services in Reno’s 13-County jurisdiction.

On the significance of the new brand identity, Mr. Bowens commented, “KRA is excited about the EmployNV re-brand! It has given our AJCN operation—what might have been perceived as a ‘local’ program—recognition as an integral component of a statewide workforce-services system.”
