KRA/San Diego Client Receives Proclamations

Recently, the San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP) News reported the organization had received proclamations by the County of San Diego Board of Supervisors (SDBOS) and the San Diego City Council (SDCC) “naming September Workforce Development Month and recognizing SDWP’s leadership.”

SDBOS presented its proclamation September 16th, with SDCC presenting theirs September 23rd.   “We are honored to receive these proclamations from the City and County,” stated Peter Callstrom, SDWP President/CEO.  “We are proud of the work we do to ensure that every business in our region has access to a skilled workforce and every job seeker has access to employment.”

Maxine Suka, Program Manager, San Diego Region America’s Job Centers of California—operated by KRA Corporation for the SDWP—commented,  “KRA/San Diego is honored and proud to be a part of the SDWP family, and to be able to make a contribution to the business and career development success of our employer- and jobseeker-customers.”

September being designated National Workforce Development Month is the result of a massive National Association of Workforce Development Professionals’ campaign to acknowledge those individuals who play a vital role in meeting the needs of employers and jobseekers, and to promote the value that workforce development contributes to our economy.
