Shawna, reports “During our meeting, Mr. Cruikshank invited me to speak before the Board to introduce the members to the great resources and services available through K2C, and to solicit their partnership for the benefit of our older Out-of-School Youth.

After the meeting, Jesse Urquidi, who adeptly wears three hats–First VP, HAIC; Business Development/Electrical Designer, P2S Engineering, Inc.; and President, Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District Board of Education–invited me to attend the 37th Annual Salute to Industry & Casino Night Gala, as a venue for networking with more HAIC leaders and members, and local and State public officials.

Subsequent to the Gala, KRA/K2C joined HAIC, and I volunteered for the Workforce Development Committee, which guides the association’s workforce-services initiatives–the ideal ‘voice and advocate’ to support our Long Beach youth in achieving their career-path goals.”
