On September 15, 2011, Knowlton R. Atterbeary, President & CEO visited two of the four CTWorks/KRA offices in Connecticut’s North Central Region. First stop was the Enfield office to attend a committee meeting convened by Capital Workforce Partners, KRA’s client. While there, he met with KRA program staff and then toured the new state-of-the-art Enfield CTWorks facility. Next stop was the New Britain office where he met with KRA staff and with Mike Bartley, New Britain CTWorks Director. Mr. Atterbeary then attended a legislative meeting with Terry Gerratana, Connecticut State Senator, after which, they toured the newly-renovated New Britain CTWorks offices. When asked about the trip, Mr. Atterbeary stated, “This is where the action is, in the field. As much as I enjoy my “job” back at HQ, I am always exhilarated visiting KRA program sites. Meeting with clients and staff and others who share the goal of a more skilled workforce renews our collective commitment. This is how I’m assured, first hand, that we are doing the job we were hired to do.”
