KRA staff in our seven-county service area in Kentucky volunteered at many back-to-school events – a day set aside for the various schools to interact with the parents and to distribute free school supplies to students.

KRA Helped Re-Build Homes and Build Dreams
KRA staff contributed to rebuilding homes and lives by participating in the Habitat for Humanity Builder’s Blitz in the Hampton Roads area. The one-time event was the largest ever in the State. A team of KRA staff and customers provided landscaping services alongside area builders, contractors, and other volunteers to ensure the aesthetic exterior of the homes for each family. In addition, KRA volunteers took the lead as Project/Materials Managers at three of the 16 houses rebuilt during the event.

KRA and YSD Bring Holiday Cheer
During the Christmas holiday season, KRA partnered with the Youth Services Division of the Camden Department of Human Services to sponsor families who needed clothing, including coats, hats, and scarves, for their children. Answering the call, staff purchased the items and met with the families to give them the gifts. The families were very excited and grateful for the gesture.
