Our December Spotlight! is shining brightly and aptly—as another spectacular year comes to an end—on KRA Employee Achievements! In Connecticut, Maryland, and California, on December 8, 9, and 12, respectively, hundreds of employees, family members, and friends gathered to celebrate those employees whose performance most exemplified KRA’s Core Values…Knowledge, Responsibility, and Achievement…in 2016.
During three Evenings of Excellence, more than 185 employees were honored for having distinguished themselves in three arenas pivotal to KRA’s expansion, growth, and success throughout its 35th year of operation.
Leadership Edge (LE) is KRA’s proprietary staff development and training program for expanding employees’ knowledge, skills, and abilities, embracing corporate goals for KRA, and enhancing program performance through excellence-in-service for clients and customers. Nineteen graduates received Certificates of Achievement, two Instructors were presented with Leader Awards, and four Directors received special recognition as Advisors.
Years of Service Awards were distributed to 140+ employees celebrating between 1 and 20 years’ dedicated service to KRA, its clients, business- and career-seeker customers, and the exceptional communities we serve coast-to-coast.
Nominated by peers, and selected by a collaborative panel of corporate- and program-operations’ staff, Employee Recognition Awards acknowledged individuals and teams whose performance was “above-and-beyond” in consistently advancing our Vision to engage businesses, develop workers, and nurture stronger communities, and our Mission to provide businesses with a trained and reliable workforce by preparing jobseekers for today’s competitive workplace and tomorrow’s global economy.
The following categories of excellence resulted in 15 multiple award-winners: Achievement (2); KRA Spirit (6); Leadership and Team Work (3); and You Make a Difference (4).
Awards with singular winners were: President’s Award – Patrick Boxall; Rookie of the Year – Rebecca Carruthers; Project Success – Karen Cirincione; Special Appreciation – Crystal Cumbo-Montague; Community Service – Myrna Fienman; Employee of the Year/MVP – Maxine Suka; and Support Person of the Year – Tim Wright.
KRA recognizes all our employees as “the best of the best” in our industry, and sincerely appreciates their commitment to our innovative, exceptional, and trusted service-delivery system. And, we thank Wenda Harbour, Chief, Corporate Administration, for planning, organizing, and implementing three truly memorable 2016 Evening of Excellence programs.
