KRA Launches 7th Annual Community Care Campaign

Recently, Patrick Boxall, KRA Vice President & COO, announced the launch of KRA’s 2015 Community Care Campaign.  Since 2009, KRA has united as a company to focus community-building efforts on a particular topic or issue of great importance.  Our 2015 Campaign targets disability employment.

NDEAM - 350 (2)During October, KRA is promoting National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), with employees, coast-to-coast collaborating with community advocates and stakeholders to develop projects that support the DOL Office of Employment Disability Policy mission ‘’to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.”

This year marks the 70th year of NDEAM observance, a clear indication that developing employment opportunities for individuals with developmental, mental, and/or physical challenges is critical to combating the low rate (20%) of labor-force participation, and the high rate (10%) of unemployment, for people with disabilities.

Boxall continued, “It falls to all of us–workforce-services providers, community stakeholders, disability-employment advocates–to redouble our efforts to impact these statistics, not just in October, but every day of every month.”

Across the county, KRA strives to create customized job-development strategies for our disabled jobseekers, and to support our employers in developing viable workplace accommodation solutions.
