“On behalf of our mutual client, Workforce Connections, Red 7 Communications proposed that we conduct a series of events to draw people to our public libraries, the heart of our One Stop Operations’ programs. As a team, we decided to conduct ‘The Great Resume Review’ as the first event, and Red 7 suggested—and Workforce Connections agreed—that I conduct the TV interviews to promote the event, which aired on KTNV ABC13 and KSNV News3!”

According to Red 7 Communications’ official Media Report for the event, “The Great Resume Review, held January 17, 2019 at the West Las Vegas Library, was in a word… GREAT! All of the resume-review tables were filled a half-hour before the event started at 4 p.m., and attendance was steady until 7 p.m.  It was busy!   We added two additional resume reviewers (from the Operator team) around 4:30 p.m. as we didn’t want people to wait too long.

Overall, the event flowed smoothly and feedback from attendees to resume reviewers to partners has been overwhelmingly positive. By the numbers, 68 people had their resumes reviewed (goal was 50); 28 people had headshots taken for LinkedIn; and 24 people filled out interest surveys indicating they wanted more information on One-Stop Career Centers.”

Mrs. Fahy concluded, “The success of this event demonstrates what a positive impact the collaborative efforts of multiple agencies can make in our communities when we work together to achieve a shared objective.”
