In addition to organizing and hosting successful open-to-the-community workforce-development events, Business Services Representatives (BSR) of the KRA San Diego Metro Region Career Centers—operated for the San Diego Workforce Partnership—are equally expert in supporting its business-partners with targeted recruitment, screening, and hiring campaigns.
Facilitated by BSR Laura Bowden, the KRA South Metro Career Center hosted a 7-day hiring blitz for dd’s DISCOUNTS—part of the Ross, Inc. retail chain—with the goal of employing a minimum of 50 individuals to staff the operation of its seventh outlet in the San Diego area.
Exceptional barely describes the results! Sixty-one applicants were hired as Retail Associates (cashiers, inventory, sales, and stocking) and Store Protection Associates (loss prevention and security), well in time for the store’s September Grand Opening.
