KRA Establishes Presence in Ohio

The Summit and Medina Workforce Development Board has selected KRA to provide WIOA-funded Adult and Dislocated Worker Career Services and  One-Stop Operator (OSO) Services, part of the OhioMeansJobs Career Center  Network, with offices in Akron [Summit County] and Medina [Medina County].

Jonathan Overton, KRA Senior Director, Workforce Operations, stated, “Concentrating our workforce-development expertise within Summit and Medina Counties, we  will be able to address the unique needs of these communities, ensuring that KRA’s service delivery approach is integrated into our OSO operation, coordinating Career Services for Adult  and Dislocated jobseeker-customers and Business Services for employer-partners.

“We will create a network of community-based partners—business, labor, and trade  organizations; educational institutions; human-services agencies; et al , working collaboratively to implement strategies that maximize participants’ development of personalized career  pathways for workforce advancement and success.

“KRA’s operational methodology is flexible and responsive to the needs of jobseekers and  employers as they relate to evolving local labor-market conditions. This integrative approach  impacts the effectiveness of our career-counseling and -planning services, job-readiness  workshops, occupational-skills development, workforce-related supportive services, and  successful job-placement.

“We are extremely excited to be embarking on this new partnership in the Summit and Medina  Workforce Area, with our Ohio Team working to enhance participants’ opportunities for self-sustaining employment and community economic development and stability.”
