This winter, KRA invites workforce professionals and partners to take part in our Live Winter Webinar Series, a special five-session virtual experience built around the work you do every day. 

Hosted on Microsoft Teams, each session—designed to strengthen programs, develop teams, and drive measurable results—delivers practical insight, real tools, and actionable strategies you can apply immediately in your organization to lead, manage, and support your team and community.  The Winter Webinar Series Lineup includes:  

  • December 2, 2025: Leadership Reimagined – Explore how workforce leaders are adapting to change and keeping teams connected and motivated. Seventy percent of HR leaders believe current leadership-development programs fall short of preparing leaders for future challenges (Forbes). Established in 2010, a KRA Leadership Edge bootcamp has grown into an ever-evolving leadership-development Program that blends project management excellence with today’s emerging workforce priorities.  Presenters: Zaskia Ruiz, EVP & COO; Kalandria Thompson, Director, People & Culture; and Ryan Rand, Engagement & Development Specialist. 
  • December 16, 2025: Beyond the Cold Call – Learn how to engage employers in ways that lead to lasting partnerships and more opportunities for jobseekers. This session introduces KRA’s Consultative Approach to employer engagement, currently being implemented across Los Angeles County, to demonstrate how a structured, discovery-based process can transform business services. 
  • Participants will learn how to prospect with purpose, conduct effective business consultations, and deliver customized workforce solutions that align with employer needs. Real-world examples and lessons learned will bring the approach to life, offering attendees practical tools and strategies to strengthen employer partnerships and drive measurable outcomes.

  • January 13, 2026: Fiscal Management 101 – Learn best practices for effectively managing and maintaining compliance in federally funded programs. This session will equip workforce-development professionals with the knowledge, tools, and frameworks needed to navigate federal regulations, align service delivery with policy requirements, and implement sound internal controls that protect program integrity. Participants will explore real-world scenarios, compliance pitfalls, documentation standards, monitoring preparation, and strategies for fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Presenter: Zaskia Ruiz. 
  • January 27, 2026: From Concept to Culture – Find out how to create and sustain an effective Employee Engagement Committee that improves communication and team morale.  This session will equip you with practical structures, proven frameworks, and real-world strategies for creating a committee that drives meaningful engagement—not just events. Learn how to align the committee with organizational goals, empower staff voices, and cultivate a workplace where people feel valued, connected, and motivated to perform at their best.” Presenters: Zaskia Ruiz, Kalandria Thompson, and Ryan Rand. 
  • February 10, 2026: If We Don’t Tell the Story, Who Will? – Learn how to share your program’s impact with funders, partners, and the community. This interactive session will explore how workforce leaders can strengthen public trust, visibility, and relevance by mastering the art and strategy of digital-brand storytelling. Participants will learn how to articulate their organization’s mission, outcomes, and community impact in ways that are authentic, succinct, and visually compelling. Presenters: Jonathan Overall and Carlos Calle, Digital Marketing Consultant.
