DEIBA+ The KRA Way

In each edition of our KRA@Work newsletter, we dedicate a section to the core components that define The KRA Way:  5-Star Experience. Real-Life Impact. i.e.,

Principles: Trailblazing is in Our DNA; People: Inclusive Since Inception; Programs: Innovative Workforce Programs at the Speed of Business; Partnerships: Relationships That Deliver Results; and Performance: Your Success is Our Success

Since its founding in 1981, KRA has been committed to a fully inclusive and diverse workplace, in which all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.

Forty-three years later, KRA continues to foster a DEIBA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Accessibility) environment, celebrating diversity, promoting equity and inclusion, and driving real-life impact for all individuals involved.

To ensure the continuing success of our DEIBA program, KRA has partnered with the Gatson Group to facilitate the design and development of a forward-thinking 3-part DEIBA+ Plan that enhances current efforts and enables future frameworks:

  • Strategic Plan Feedback Sessions will serve as platforms for open and constructive dialogue. Input from all staff—including members of our Employee Engagement Committee and Corporate Leadership and Program Operations Management Teams—will be instrumental in shaping the success of our DEIBA+ Plan.
  • Staff Training on DEIBA+ Plan Development & Strategy will ensure that every staff member is equipped with the knowledge and understanding necessary to support our DEIBA+ initiatives. Virtual roll-out sessions will provide comprehensive training for all employees.
  • Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)® Credentialing Course will be delivered onsite in a 3-Day Intensive Academy, scheduled for the Spring KRA Leadership Edge event, April 23 – April 25 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

We are incredibly excited about the implementation of this innovative initiative, ensuring that our DEIBA+ Plan remains aligned with the evolving needs of the communities we serve. Providing our staff with the necessary education will empower them to engage more effectively with our jobseeker- and business-services’ customers and help eliminate biases and discriminatory practices that hinder economic mobility.
