The Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce is currently featuring KRA on the Homepage of its website in its Member Spotlight. As the operator of the Work Participation, Placement, and Support Services Program, funded by the Baltimore City Department of Social Services, KRA works every day, with businesses and other community partners, to offer Baltimore City jobseeker-customers, who receive TCA (Temporary Cash Assistance) benefits, a wide range of workforce development services. As an integral part of the Baltimore City community, KRA provides intensive job-readiness/placement services including assessment, Community Work Experience, training, and job development. The Program also provides occupation-specific skills training, to benefit area employers, for such in-demand fields as Healthcare, Information Technology, Tourism & Hospitality, and Early Childhood Development.
KRA is proud to be a Chamber partner, and deeply honored to be recognized for its contribution to the Baltimore City community. The following quote, from the Chamber’s “About” page, mirrors KRA’s goals, objectives, and mission for the Baltimore City community in every respect: “One City, the great City of Baltimore, the Baltimore City Chamber, seeks to strengthen and grow the City’s economy through an aggressive pro business agenda that connects government resources and government business opportunities through a single clearinghouse. One Team, the business community and residents, working together to build stronger, safer and more productive communities. As stakeholders, business owners, residents of Baltimore City and elected officials, we must work together to make Baltimore City the ideal place to live, work and do business.”
