KRA and YES Youth Build Bridge to the Future

On September 1, 2010, Thomas Davis, KRA Corporation Education and Case Management Specialist, held an Orientation for five new enrollees, 16 to 21, in the YES (Youth Employability and Success) Program, a recent addition to Camden program services. KRA Shares “Pantry” With WD Professionals

KRA/CTWorks’ Karen Brown, Assistant Director;  Alberto Magriz, Team Lead; and Jerry Santostefano, Customer Service Representative/Office Assistant, attended the 4th Annual New England Professional Development Conference for Workforce Development Professionals as presenters for the KRA Corporation’s innovative Pantry Point Program (PPP). Designed as an incentive program, customers who meet their employment plan requirements can redeem points at the Pantry for a wide variety of foodstuffs and other products. KRA Exceeds Contract Requirement!

The good news is that KRA Corporation’s Community Work Experience Program (CWEP)  team placed 216 customers in community work experience jobs during its first year of service! The great news is that the CWEP exceeded the contract goal by 53 placements!!  Also, 95 customers were assisted with transitioning to either an occupational training or skills training program, and 44 customers were placed in unsubsidized jobs.
