Summary To provide front-line customer service to all Career Center customers including general knowledge of programs available, computer access, use of office equipment, and assistance with resume writing/review.  This position requires the ability to exercise significant discretion and independent judgment.  The person filling this position interacts closely with the On Stop staff, provides front desk assistance to customers, assists in the Online Learning Centers and CTWorks @ HPL.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Works with customers to build resumes, complete applications, create cover letters, and other job seeking related correspondences.
Maintains open and timely communication with related support and managerial staff in all areas pertaining to the program, customers, completion statistics, referral-sources, contract fulfillment, and other important measurements of program success.
Assists job seekers to utilize resources for job search including computers, Internet, office equipment, and other services provided through Partners.
Maintains relationships with all Career Center staff and One-Stop Partner staff.
Maintains supplies and equipment inventory, arranging for repair and/or replacement needs or reporting such needs.
Develops and maintains a positive, professional, working relationship with Partner staff, mentors and colleagues; cooperation, flexibility, and support are expected at all times.
Supports clients’ independent learning by introducing online resources and researching new ways to increase computer skills.
Maintains customer records both electronically (CTWBS) and hard copies as necessary.
Knowledge and experience in teaching basic computer skills
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office and email applications.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Knowledge and experience working with people with employment barriers.
Qualifications Associate’s Degree from an accredited U.S. college or University.
  Excellent communication skills, Bi-Lingual (a plus)
