EmployNV Reno: Excellence in One-Stop Operation

EmployNV Reno’s Business/Career HUB exemplifies excellence in One-Stop workforce operations through a customer-centric, integrated service model that supports both jobseekers and employers across Northern Nevada’s 13-county region. Managed by KRA for NevadaWorks, the HUB reflects a continued commitment to innovation, efficiency, and economic growth.

The original American Job Center of Nevada One-Stop Operation opened on October 12, 2018, with then–Clark County Commissioner Stephen Sisolak presiding. Following his inauguration as Nevada’s 30th Governor in January 2019, Governor Sisolak returned on October 20, 2022, to participate in the grand opening of the rebranded EmployNV Business/Career HUB. During this event, he emphasized the critical role HUB operations play in strengthening the regional economy and commended KRA for delivering high-quality workforce development services.

Under the leadership of Reena Singh, One-Stop Operator Manager, the HUB operates on a “Putting Customers First” philosophy, which prioritizes understanding the unique needs of each customer and tailoring services accordingly. In today’s complex domestic and global labor market, the HUB focuses on continuous improvement, innovation, and responsive service delivery to ensure jobseekers and employers receive meaningful, results-driven support.

The HUB’s Business Services component offers employers a comprehensive suite of resources designed to support hiring, retention, and workforce stability. These services include guidance on Disabled Access Tax Incentives, the Federal Bonding Program for at-risk job candidates, and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit, which supports targeted populations transitioning to self-sufficiency. Additional resources include Silver State Works employer incentives, labor market and unemployment insurance information, Rapid Response services for layoffs, assistance for self-employed and gig workers, and access to WIOA-eligible training providers.

The Career Services component serves Adult, Dislocated (including veterans), and Youth jobseekers through education and training resources such as resume development, job search strategies, access to Nevada’s largest job database, and online learning opportunities. These services are fully integrated with Business Services to align job-seeker preparation with employer demand.

Through strong partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations, EmployNV Reno expands outreach and service capacity. Its customer-centric operational design distinguishes the HUB, demonstrating that excellence in One-Stop Operations is not merely an objective, but a sustained promise to the region’s workforce and employers.
