KRA Continues Building Alliances To Support Disabled Jobseekers – As the KRA Community Care Campaign (CCC) Committee plans for our 2016 initiative to be launched next month, we reflect on the success of the 2015 CCC, which targeted disability employment. Coast-to-coast, KRA programs collaborated with community partners to develop and/or expand projects that capitalize on the abilities of jobseekers for whom mental and/or physical challenges present significant barriers to sustainable employment. KRA Airs More “Searching in San Diego” Podcasts

In March, the KRA San Diego Metro Career Centers, operated for the San Diego Workforce Partnership, launched an increasingly popular online media tool—podcasting—which provides on-demand access to information and resources. The launch included an introductory episode on Why Social Media is Important for Workforce Development. In April, Diana Saldivar, KRA Social Media Coordinator, announced, “We have released our first four ‘Searching in San Diego’ podcasts in our continuing objective to stay connected to our career-seekers, business partners, and other Metro Region workforce-development stakeholders.” In the ensuing months, KRA/San Diego has aired 11 more podcasts, five “How To” episodes, such as How to
