Started in 1964, Job Corps is a U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)-funded job-training program for disadvantaged youth between 16 and 24 years of age. Students attend Job Corps for up to two years and focus on academic and career-technical training and career skills.

The KRA team is committed to achieving positive, long-term outcomes for Job Corps students, and we embrace DOL's 21st century vision for Job Corps through:

  • Student exposure to high-growth industry sectors
  • A rigorous and relevant academic and career-technical curriculum
  • Industry and employer involvement in outreach and admissions, training development and delivery, and post-center support, as well as job placement
  • Linkages with education and training partners, such as local school districts, One-Stop career centers, and supportive-service providers
  • Clear, measurable benchmarks of program success
