KRA Report Wins Prestigious MarCom Award

KRA has been recognized as a Platinum Winner in the International Competition for Marketing and Communication Professionals for a report, Maryland Youth Risk Behavior Survey, developed for the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). The MarCom Awards is a creative competition for any individual or company involved in the concept; writing; and design of print, visual, audio, and web materials and programs. Entries are submitted by corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. The mission of the Marcom Awards is to honor excellence and recognize the creativity, hard work, and generosity of marketing and communication professionals.

Under contract with MSDE since 2005, KRA has been responsible for conducting and reporting on the Maryland Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which is sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. According to Robyn West, KRA Project Manager, “Of course it is great to receive this prestigious award, but the overwhelming positive feedback we’ve received, from those with a stake in the health and well being of Maryland teens, has been more than gratifying. KRA’s goal in writing and designing the report was to provide an easily understood and visually stimulating document that would be readily accessible to its intended audience…teachers, school administrators, state officials, parents, and students…something that is not always easy to do when presenting statistical data.”

The report is currently posted on the MSDE website below:
