KRA's Clark Hosts Breakfast With the Mayor Awards Ceremony

What a difference a year makes—when an individual is committed to excellence in service, not just in her own life, but in the lives of others.  Such is the case of Yvette Clark, then a KRA Corporation Lead Job Developer when she was elected to the Baltimore City Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) Board of Directors.

Almost a year to the day, Clark is now the Vice Chairperson of the BCCC Board, and the Business Services Manager for the KRA workforce development program—funded by the Baltimore City Department of Social  Services—for which she has worked 3 years.

Recently, Clark hosted the BCCC’s annual Breakfast With the Mayor event, which this year included the first Awards for Workforce Development Excellence ceremony, sponsored by the Baltimore Workforce Investment Board’s Business Engagement Committee.

Attended by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake; Charles Owens, BCCC President; and other local dignitaries, the event recognized the workforce-services contributions of American Infrastructure, Cuddy and Associates LLC, CUPS Coffeehouse and Kitchen, Danko Arlington, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, Orlando Products, Turner Construction, and the Vocational Services Program of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.

Clark reported, ” I was honored to host the event, representing the BCCC and KRA—that received a plaque for its sponsorship—on this inaugural recognition of local businesses that positively impact Baltimore City’s innovative workforce development initiatives.  For more than 20 years, the BCCC has served as the centralized pro-business advocacy resource for the community. Our motto is ‘One Chamber, One City, One Team!’, and I am proud to be a member of all three!”
