Alameda County Client Cites KRA's "Unique Set of Business Assistance Expertise"

Alameda County WIB logoBusiness Connection, the Pleasanton [CA] Chamber of Commerce newsletter, recently featured an article…Producing a Highly Developed Workforce…by James Paxson, Board  Chair of both the Pleasanton Chamber and the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board (ACWIB), on how workforce development, through collaborative, industry-sector driven education and skills training, is the lynchpin of effective economic development.

KRA is proud to partner with the ACWIB in achieving two fundamental objectives, “helping job seekers find opportunities for good employment, and connecting employers with talent” that converge into one overarching goal, “to help bring together job seekers and employers.”

To that end, the ACWIB assembled the Business Services Team, “which is expertly managed by KRA, an independent contractor with a unique set of business assistance expertise; much of which is focused on furthering the process of ongoing employee development in the workplace”, stated Mr. Paxson.

Pamela Carnes, KRA Program Manager, commented “As Mr. Paxson indicated, connecting jobseekers with employers is integral to what we do, as well as, engaging in ‘ongoing employee development.’ Our Business Service Team  collaborates with County businesses to customize training that expands their existing employees’ skills, and with Community Colleges to create programs to upgrade jobseekers’ skills to address specific workplace needs.  KRA is committed to covering all the bases!”
