Summary Plan and conduct activities for a balance Job Readiness program of instruction that provides participants with opportunities to observe, question and investigate. Prepare and administer educational and employment related assessment tools. Prepare, evaluate and grade assignments to assist with the evaluation of the students’ progress.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct classes, workshops, and demonstrations to teach principles, techniques, or methods in subjects such as basic language skills, life skills, and workforce entry skills.
Provide information, guidance and preparation for the General Equivalency Diploma (GED) examination.
Provide an exciting, interactive, clean, and customer-friendly environment.
Ability to select and use training instructional methods and procedures appropriate for job development
Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training efforts.
Knowledge of current labor market and business trends
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services; includes customer needs assessment, quality standards of service and evaluation of customer satisfication.
Education and Demonstrated Job Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, Marketing or related field and/or two years of professional experience that demonstrates knowledge of job development and human services programs.
Other Skill and Abilities Personal computer literacy is required, including proficiency with the Internet, e-mail, and Microsoft Office. Strong organization and classroom management skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function.

Summary Responsible for classroom management and the day-to-day implementation of job readiness activities for adult learners.  Prepares for and facilitates engaging, motivational, and skill building workshops for adult participants. Develops and implements job readiness curriculum and navigates customers through the workforce system.  Responsible for interpreting assessment scores, reviewing the results with the customers and with their assigned Career Agent.  Familiarity with Federal, State, and Local TANF rules and regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide classroom instruction to adult participants.
Develop and implements job readiness curriculum.
Prepare a resume for each assigned participant.
Provide an exciting, interactive, clean, and customer-friendly environment.
Create informational billboards, posters, and flyers.
Administer assessment tools and interpret results to customers.
Administer the Basic English Skills Test when applicable.
Prepare a weekly assessment report.
Adhere to Federal, State, and Contractor guidelines.
Work with a team of professionals to ensure contract goals are achieved.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to motivate others, be hands-on, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to work occasional weekend hours.
Education and Demonstrated Job Knowledge Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 5 years’ experience adult learning, workforce development, career training, or other employment related field.
Experience working with adult learners.
Ability to professionally adjust to unforeseen circumstances or programmatic changes.
